Below are some very special stories along with some beautiful babies I was honored to photograph.
The story is... I was tagged in a post by a friend.
Brandy Meeks from Pregnancy Resource Clinic was looking for photographers to donate a session to the mothers of some young babies. These were moms who had received help from PRC during difficult times of their pregnancy.
The mission of the St. Joseph Pregnancy Resource Clinic is dedicated to eliminating the need for abortion in our region through effective, Christ-like service to pregnant, at-risk women, by transforming their fears into confidence. Their vision is to be prayerful, be professional, stay relevant, be accountable, and have a persevering spirit.
Happy to help I signed on to do photos for these two families. It was a treat.
Here are these sweet babies and their stories.
This is Tj Edward Michael born dec 18th 2015, he's 4 months old, he is the youngest of 3 children. His mom found her way to the PRC in search of information on how to have an abortion. She didn’t want to be pregnant again nor have a third child. She met with the PRC and confirmed her pregnancy. They talked with her about her feelings regarding being pregnant. They did an ultrasound and at 7 weeks.
“I saw my baby and I couldn’t abort him knowing I saw that he was in my womb.”
The PRC called TJ’s mom once about every 3 months to check on her during the pregnancy.
“If it wasn't for them showing me my baby on the screen he wouldn't be here. I believe that it was fate that lead me to call that number; I didn't know anything about the PRC other than it was a pregnancy resource center. I assumed they would have a number to a safe abortion clinic or resources to one. Going in there talking with them made me want to keep my baby, I am forever grateful for the PRC.”
This is Jazlynn A'Mari and she is 3 months old! She is named after her uncle, grandma, and great-grandma.
Her mom shares, “Working with the Pregnancy Resource Clinic has been wonderful. They are very open and all around good people who actually care about your pregnancy and the health of the baby! Meeting with them was one of the best choices I ever made!”
A big hug and pat on the back to those at the PRC. I’m proud to have been a small part of their work. Thank you for all you do!
